Give me a blank wall I can paint – that’s when I’m in my happy place, and if it’s at my own home, it’s probably around 6pm and I have poured a glass of Red and am ready to get inspired. I often wake up in the middle of the night, like I did for my latest project, image above, and think of crazy colors or patterns I want to paint…no, I MUST paint – this time it was an oversized PLAID for my Preppy transplants! This love of painting walls started when I was a young parent on a VERY limited budget and wanted to find economical ways to change/freshen up a room at home. My kids would often leave home for school, and come back to a completely different colored room with all the furniture rearranged and art finding new walls to play on. I am not a Decorative Painter, but I do like to dabble in it, especially when I can use painters tape to help guide my lines as we did with the plaid. Like I tell every client, and pretty much every friend, paint is the least expensive and BIGGEST BANG for your buck…and if you get sick of it, you just paint right over it! No FEAR, No FOUL, just FUN.
